The adjustment of the timing for AT shift

Chikurosan presented this report ! Thank you so much !

Let's start !!:D

If you understand accel wire's motion, you can change the timing for AT shift. And you can get your favorite shift feeling even if your Mk2 Golf is AT model.

There are two wires. One is between the accel pedal and the transmission. The other is between the transmission and the throttle valve.

At first, remove this nut. (Or remove the "ball joint" on the throttle body. )
( This is the throttle body. For your understanding, Chikurosan used old throttle body. )

The yellow line is the cable between the accel pedal and the transmission.
Please see the "A". If you adjust the length of this point, you can change the timing of AT shift. If you pull to upper side, the each shift range will keep just before a red zone ! ( You will get the aggressive feeling. ) You can try several length and get your favorite timing.

However, you should also adjust the cable between the transmission and the throttle valve.

I explain again.
The above "A" is the same as photo 2. This is the adjustment point. There is the nut behind the stay.

At first, remove this nut. After that, turn the knob of this point. ( You can adjust your favorite point. )

After that, confirm that the throttle valve can return completely.( You adjust red circle of photo 1. )

If the throttle valve cannot return completely, please check 2 cables.

Anyway, it is important that the throttle valve can return completely when you detach your foot from the accel pedal.

Chikurosan adjusted Morimori's Golf ! After that, the each shift range can run until the red zone certainly !
I could get the aggressive feeling !

If you are interested, please try it !
