Engine Overhaul, My Volkswagen Mk2 Golf

The garage (special shop) overhauled my engine.(semi-overhaul) We planned to overhaul the cylinder head only. But he also removed pistons/con-rods because the piston rings and con-rod metals should be replaced.

At first, I got the cylinder head (It's made in Mexico.) which is 15,000km working only. So I requested him to overhaul and assemble it into my mk2.

But when we saw my original cylinder head (It's made in Germany.), he decided to overhaul the original cylinder head because the quality was very different from Mexico cylinder head. ( I do not think that the quality of all Mexico cylinder head is no good.)

And also, some parts were replaced.

Anyway, the new replacement parts are as follows.(0806)

Regarding the actual work, removed the accessory parts, the cylinder head and the intake manifold.
After that, soaked them in very strong metal cleaner for a few days.
Regarding the cylinder head, light shaved, did a mild port, polished, cut valve's seat, balanced valves and so on.
The flange of the intake manifold were also shaved.
Also, soaked pistons/con-rods in very strong metal cleaner for a few days and polished/balanced those items.
Of course, polished Con-Rod Metals, cam and so on.

I cannot overhaul my engine !!! So I polished the alternator housing, put the fiber glass wool on the bulkhead and the corrugated tube for wire-protection during the engine overhaul.

Anyway, the random pics are as follows.

I used the corrugated tube (hose) for wire-protection.
Also, put the fiber glass wool on the bulkhead (firewall ?).
The fiber glass wool is for sound & heat insulation
